You’ve probably heard over and over again that proper planning is key to success. In a typical moving scenario, you’d have weeks or months to prepare carefully, plan and execute your move. But, as we know, things in life don’t always go according to plan. Unpredictable situations might occur, a new job offer, an unreliable moving company canceling on you, or an emergency involving a family that may require you to move right away.
Zip Moving & Storage offers many services to our customers when moving and storing their belongings.
Do We Offer the Same Day Moving?
Zip Moving & Storage does not offer same-day moving services as a standard service. Due to availability and the nature of same-day moves our company can’t promise these services regularly.
At times we can help out our customers with the same-day move; however, it must follow specific guidelines, and most importantly, our movers have to be available. Below we’ll provide an example in what instances we are able to provide same-day moving services.
- Once our moving agent receives a call from the customer requiring same-day moving services, we check if there is availability that day.
- Please note we can only do a smaller move in this instance (not a house move, unfortunately).
- If we have a spot open (most likely in the afternoon), we proceed to take down inventory and other information we need about the move.
- Our moving agent will go over all the details and services you require one more time with you to make sure it’s accurate, and you’ll receive a quote for your move.
- If the customer agrees on the price, then our agent will go ahead and contact our dispatch team.
- Our dispatch team will then confirm with the movers one more time the details of the move and get an okay to book it.
- Our moving agent will then book your move and let the customer know that it is nonrefundable.
- The paperwork will be sent to the customer and the movers to prepare for the move.
This is an example of when we are able to help our customers with the same-day moving.
We also offer labor services which include:
- Loading and unloading of moving trucks (moving pods or storage units)
- Moving single items: pianos, bulky furniture pieces
- Packing services
The services listed above can be of great help to many in search of the same-day movers or services that can make your move easier. These might not be full moving services but our movers will be more than happy to do it if there is availability on the same day.
Finding help and movers the same day can be challenging, therefore start making a few phone calls and ask around for packing, loading, and unloading services. Even if you don’t end up finding same-day movers, hiring professionals to pack up your house and load the boxes will be of great help itself.
